Our Providers
East Greenwich Pediatrics was founded by Dr. Kevin McGibney. He was joined by Dr. Claire Flanagan and Dr. Bonnie Reibman in the summer of 1999. Dr. McGibney passed away in March 2002, and Drs. Flanagan and Reibman moved the practice to its present location at 1377 South County Trail in East Greenwich. Dr. Reibman retired in 2015 and Dr. Flanagan retired in March 2020.
Clare McMillan, MD, FAAP
Dr. McMillan graduated from Brown University, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the residency program of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. McMillan joined East Greenwich Pediatrics in the summer of 2003. Board Certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she has particular interest in behavioral health and has been involved with PediPRN in a collaboration with Bradley Hospital to improve mental health training for pediatricians in Rhode Island. Dr. McMillan is the mother of three adult children.
Cindy Klipfel, MD, FAAP
Amanda Veltri, FNP
Amanda received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island in 2010. She then went on to pursue her nursing degree and brings over six years of clinical nursing experience in both adult critical care and pediatric emergency medicine. Amanda completed her master’s degree and advanced practitioner training at Regis College prior to joining East Greenwich Pediatrics in 2020. Amanda utilizes both her advanced nursing and nutrition background in providing preventative and acute care to the pediatric population. Amanda welcomed her first child in 2022.
Peter Pogacar, MD, FAAP
Dr. Pogacar is a graduate of Tufts University and the Boston University School of Medicine. After completing his pediatric residency at the Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital, he was in practice for five years at naval bases in Quantico, VA and Groton, CT. Dr. Pogacar joined East Greenwich Pediatrics in 2005. Dr. Pogacar serves on the Executive Board for the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is the Chair of the Chapter’s Pediatric Council and Pediatric Director for Rhode Island Primary Care. Board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Pogacar is the father of two sons and a daughter.
Heather Tirpaeck, DO
Dr. Tirpaeck grew up in Rhode Island and is excited to have moved back home and to join the group at East Greenwich Pediatrics. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Baystate and is board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She worked as a general pediatrician in Longmeadow Massachusetts for 3 years and has an interest in newborns and breastfeeding. She is the mother of 2 sons and a daughter.
Heather Pelletier, PhD
Dr. Pelletier graduated from the University of Rhode Island, the University of Toledo and Geisinger Medical Center’s residency program. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric behavioral pain management at Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Pelletier was a pediatric psychologist, integrated into medical specialty clinics, at Hasbro Children’s Hospital for 7 years prior to joining East Greenwich Pediatrics in 2022. She maintains clinical faculty appointments in the departments of Pediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University where she continues to teach residents and fellows. Dr. Pelletier specializes in addressing the interplay between physical and emotional symptoms that impact functioning and quality of life. Additionally, she has a particular interest in educating and supporting parents/caregivers who are navigating issues pertaining to their child’s mental health and development.
Karen Maule, MD, FAAP
Dr. Maule is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Michigan School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and is board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Maule joined East Greenwich Pediatrics in 2012. Dr. Maule has been involved nationally in several injury prevention projects. Dr. Maule is the mother of a son and a daughter.
Katherine Snape, PNP
Katie grew up in Rhode Island and received her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Rhode Island. She was a nurse in the Emergency Department at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence for six years and then went on to complete a Master’s degree in nursing and her pediatric nurse practitioner training at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Katie is the mother of a son and a daughter.

Office hours are Mon-Fri 8AM-4:30PM.
Saturday and Sunday mornings for urgent visits by appointment.
