Finding Care After Hours

Our office is open Monday through Friday 8AM to 4:30PM and in the morning on Saturday and Sunday. If you need an appointment on a weekday please call after 8:00AM when our secretaries can take your call.  On the weekends if you need a sick appointment call between 8:00AM and 10:00AM.

We are available by phone after hours through our main number 401-884-8900 if you have an urgent question or concern about your child.  CALL US FIRST if you think your child needs to be seen urgently. The answering service will answer the phone and relay the information to the appropriate person. If you have called and do not hear back within 30 minutes, please call again.

Calls after hours should be for urgent matters only. Please call during our regular business hours for test results (including COVID-19 results) and refill requests.

If your child is ill or injured and needs to be seen when the office is closed, we recommend the Hasbro Children’s Hospital emergency room in Providence, RI.  If the issue does not require a hospital, please consider:

• Just Kids RI Sick Care in Cumberland, RI
• South County Health Urgent / Walk-In Care in East Greenwich, RI

For after hours orthopedic issues (broken bones, sprains, sports injuries) consider Ortho RI Express or OrthoDIRECT.

If your child is experiencing an emotional crisis, Kids’ Link RI 1-855-543-5465 is a free hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for children suffering from behavioral problems or psychiatric illness.
