Flu Shots

Flu Vaccine 2020-2021

The pediatricians at East Greenwich Pediatrics recommend a yearly flu shot for all patients age 6 months and older, ESPECIALLY this year!

If your child has a well visit before November 1, 2020, they can receive a flu vaccine at that visit.  To reduce exposure in the office, we are still asking that only one parent and no siblings come to check up appointments. If siblings need flu vaccine please bring them to the Saturday clinics.

If your child is 6 months to age 1 or needs special assistance please call the office to schedule a flu vaccine appointment.

If your child is > age 1 (note the change of age) and a patient at East Greenwich Pediatrics they should come to our WALK-IN (no appointment needed), OUTDOOR clinics on Saturday afternoons from 1-4PM:

  • September 26
  • October 3
  • October 10
  • October 24

The walk-in flu clinics will be held in the tent behind our office. No appointment or sign up necessary.  Everyone should wear masks. Wear a short sleeve shirt to make it easier. We will have cones set up to make a socially distanced line. Do not come to the clinic if instructed to be under quarantine.

Pro tip: The clinic is usually busiest right at the beginning and the end of the session.  Think about coming in the middle!

If you can’t make our clinics there are also school clinics set up by the RI Department of Health all over the state. Visit the school flu clinic site: schoolflu.com
